Fuerteventura

20 - 27 February 2027

We’ll take you to Fuerteventura with an Experience trip: you’ll be a group of intermediate-to-advanced kiters with an instructor who’ll guide you to the island’s best spots in search of epic sessions!

There won’t be any scheduled lessons. In the morning we do an initial briefing to decide together where to go based on weather conditions. We hop in the van and chase the wind wherever it gets us most pumped — Flag Beach, Sotavento, and so on.

One session in the morning and one in the afternoon, but if you’d rather relax or wander around town, that’s an option too.

In the evening, drinks and dinners together at the best spots in Corralejo: we’ll take care of getting you there, you just focus on having fun!

WHERE WE SAIL

WHY THIS WEEK

We didn’t pick it at random. These days, the tides are just right: the Sotavento lagoon opens up at the perfect hours, and the rest of the island can be explored with the spots at their best. It’s the difference between seeing Fuerteventura and seeing it actually work.

THE PROGRAMME

An example of what we’d like to do, though it may change depending on weather conditions.

Sat 20 Feb

Arrival

Van pick-up, check-in at the villa, and first dinner together in Corralejo.

Sun 21 feb

Flag Beach

Breakfast, a quick chat about the week’s conditions, gear set-up, and the first session right outside the door. Sunset drinks after.

Mon 22 feb

Sotavento

A day at the lagoon with dinner on the spot.

Tue 23 feb

Flag Beach

Long session right outside the door. Anyone who wants a break can go see the dunes or take a boat out to Lobos.

Wen 24 feb

El Cotillo, if the wind shifts

Half an hour by van and you’re sailing on the west side, among the sheltered lagoons.

Thu 25 feb

The best spot of the day

We decide in the morning, based on what the island’s offering.

Fri 26 feb

Last full day

Long session and a group dinner to wrap things up.

Sat 27 feb

Return

One last swim, gear pack-up, and transfer to the airport

IF THERE'S NO WIND, EVERYTHING STILL FLIES

Here are some extra activities

Lanzarote

Ferry from Corralejo and a day on the volcanic island.

Isla de Lobos

Charter to the little island just off the beach: turquoise water and nothing else.

Day on a catamaran

A day on a boat along the coast, all together.

Surf

Corralejo, El Cotillo, or Majanicho: in February there’s no shortage of waves.

WHAT TO BRING (BESIDES ENTHUSIASM)

February in the Canaries means sun and wind, but the water is cool and evenings call for a layer.

  • Kites or wings in different sizes: the wind changes from spot to spot
  • 4/3 wetsuit: in winter the water sits around 18–19°C
  • Pump — one between two people is fine
  • Sunscreen, lip balm, and a hat: the sun is still out in February

Don’t have equipment? Rent it from us for €350 — just tell us your sizes in the form and we’ll take care of the rest.

HOW TO GET THERE

If you fly with us, you don’t need to think about a thing: the van will be waiting for the group at the airport.

If you’d rather fly on your own, that’s perfectly fine — we’ll sort out the timing together.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What level do you really need?

You need to be self-sufficient: able to relaunch from the water, ride upwind, and handle your own gear without someone watching over you. If you’re not quite there yet, the right trip for you is a Master, where the coach is in the water with you every day.

So there's no instructor at all?

The PKS instructor, the same one from the Master, is there all week and comes to the beach with you: organizing the days, driving the van, lending a hand with gear set-up, and sticking around if you need him. What he doesn’t do is teach: there’s no lesson plan, radio, or video analysis. If you want to work on a specific move, you can add our 1-on-1 Coaching service, arranged before departure.

So does the spot change every day?

No, and this is the best part about Fuerteventura: we’ve got the spot right outside the door. Flag Beach is two minutes from the villa, and that’s where you’ll do most of your sessions. We only move when it’s worth it — the Sotavento lagoon at the right tide, El Cotillo if the wind shifts — and nobody’s forced to hop in the van.

Why this specific week in February?

Because the tides are just right: the Sotavento lagoon opens up at the good hours, and you can explore the island finding the spots at their best. In the Canaries the wind is almost always there — the tide isn’t. That’s why this week is chosen, not random.

Can I go on my own?

It’s completely normal: most participants don’t know anyone before they go. We set up a WhatsApp group in the days before, so you arrive already having introduced yourselves.

Is the flight included?

No, the price doesn’t include the flight. You can add it to the package through a travel agency, or sort it out yourself — in that case, we’ll agree on arrival times together.

And what if there's no wind for days?

It’s rare in the Canaries in February, but it can happen. If it does, there’s a ferry to Lanzarote, a charter to Isla de Lobos, catamaran trips, and surfing: these are extra activities, decided on the spot and paid separately.

Do I need to bring my own equipment?

If you have it, bring it along, just remember to declare the sports bag to the airline. Otherwise, you can rent it from us for €350 for the whole week.

How do I pay?

You secure your spot with a deposit via bank transfer and pay the balance one month before departure. The transfer details are above, in the “How to book” section.
