It’s pure freedom: with the foil, you can ride even in light wind, and when the wind picks up, flying gets even more fun. Plus, the equipment is light and super easy to set up and carry around. EQUIPMENT INCLUDED

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE COURSES?

BEGINNER COURSE

The most complete course: for every hour of practice at sea, you also get an hour of theory on land.

First, we explain everything you need to know to ride in complete safety, and let you try the simulator to get the movements down to muscle memory. While you’re in the water, we film you, and we’ll review the footage together once you’re back on land. This way, you can see the mistakes you’re making and get corrected by your instructor. This, combined with theory and practice at sea, helps maximize your learning curve. And yes, the sooner you learn, the sooner you’re ready to fly!

ADVANCED COURSE

Perfect for raising the bar, this course is run in 2-hour sessions, giving us time to organize your progress in the best way possible.

We start with an initial briefing to assess your level and your goals.

During the lesson, the instructor films and photographs you, which will be reviewed at the end of the session. Screen in hand, the instructor will break down your mistakes and give you all the tips you need to improve your maneuvers and tricks.

If you want to try your first jumps, ride the surfboard, learn freestyle moves, kite foil, or nail some proper big loops, this is the course for you.

GROUP COURSE

The most complete course: for every hour of practice at sea, you also get an hour of theory on land.

Six things to know before starting a PKS Maremma wingfoil course:

Wingfoil works for everyone, but good basic knowledge is important, even to manage the equipment safely. Avoid self-taught experiences-it can be dangerous for you and others.
Wingfoil is one of the most straightforward wind-sliding sports. You can learn the basics in no time.
Just like kiting and windsurfing, with planing boards it needs at least 11 knots of air to express itself best. And unlike windsurfing, under 5 knots of wind, wing foil does not work because it cannot generate lift.

Before going out, take a few minutes to study the spot: check for hazards such as rocks or restricted areas, how the wind is blowing, how the waves are moving, and other people in the water. If you leave from a beach during the beach season make sure to always check that there is a launch channel to get in and out of the water.
Always check the condition of your equipment, especially if you haven’t used it in a while. Wash everything with fresh water before storing it.
Depending on the position of the foil in relation to the board, the way the system works changes! If you move the foil toward the bow, you have more upward thrust, so it will be easier to get the board off the water, but with less control. Whereas moving the foil more toward the stern gives you more control, but less upward thrust (lift).
