We take you to Porto Pollo on an Experience trip: you’ll be a group of intermediate or advanced kiters with an instructor who comes along with you!

There are no scheduled lessons. Every morning we start with a briefing.

One session in the morning and one in the afternoon, but anyone who prefers can relax or wander around town.

In the evening, aperitifs and dinners together at the best places in Porto Pollo: we take you there, you just have fun!

WHY THIS SPOT

We didn’t pick it at random. Thanks to the shape of the land in northern Sardinia and its closeness to Corsica, it’s one of the windiest spots in Europe, where the Mistral blows hard all year round. One of our bases is here, FH Academy, with a kite and wing school, repairs, equipment and a surf shop.

WHERE WE STAY

Our base is the Surf House Porto Pollo with 11 rooms, all with private bathroom: double or twin.

In the morning there’s space to warm up all together, and after the session there’s a place to rinse and leave your gear.

WHO TRAVELS WITH YOU

LUCA, PKS instructor for 9 years. He has lived in Tenerife and speaks Italian, Spanish and English. He has already ridden in Porto Pollo and knows all the best spots.

Every morning he checks the wind and tide and decides where to go, drives the van, helps you rig and stays on the beach with you all week.

Flights and transfers

If you fly with us you don’t have to think about anything: the van waits for the group at the airport. If you prefer to travel on your own that’s fine, we’ll coordinate arrival times.

When you book your flight, remember to add the sports equipment bag: it must be declared to the airline and paid separately.

Notes

TWO WEEKS

You can book one week or stay for both (1 – 15 May): if you want to do both, let us know in the form or contact us and we’ll give you all the info.

PRICES

Price per person, flight excluded. Includes 7 nights’ accommodation, breakfasts, transfers, van and travel, PKS staff on site. Extras are added when you register: you don’t need to decide them now.

BALANCE

The balance is due 1 month before departure.

IF YOU CAN NO LONGER GO

- Up to 60 days before: full refund minus €50, or a voucher for another trip
- 59 to 30 days before: voucher for another trip, to be used within one year
- Less than 30 days before: non-refundable
- If we cancel: we refund you in full or find an alternative together

WHAT TO BRING BESIDES YOUR ENTHUSIASM

May in Sardinia means sun and wind, but the water is cool and evenings get chilly.

Kites or wings of different sizes: the wind changes from spot to spot
4/3 wetsuit: in winter the water is around 18–19°C
Sunscreen, face stick and hat: the sun shines in February too

No gear? Rent it from us for €350: tell us your sizes in the form and we’ll take care of everything.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What level do I really need?

You can start from zero, knowing nothing about kiting, or already be an advanced kiter: so all levels are welcome

So there’s no instructor?

The PKS instructor, the same one as on the Master, is there all week and comes to the beach with you: he plans the days, drives the van, helps you rig and is there if you need him. What he doesn’t do is lessons: there’s no teaching programme, radios or video analysis. If you want to work on a specific manoeuvre, you can add the one-to-one Coaching service, arranged before departure.

So do we change spot every day?

No, and that’s the most convenient thing about Porto Pollo: the spot is right in front of the house, two minutes from the villa, and you’ll do most of your sessions there. We only move when there’s no wind, and nobody has to get in the van.

Why these weeks?

Because temperatures and wind are at their best, the summer crowds haven’t arrived yet and the weather is pleasant

Can I come on my own?

That’s completely normal: many participants don’t know anyone before leaving. We set up a WhatsApp group in the days before, so you’ll already have met by the time you arrive.

Is the flight included?

No, the price is without flights. You can add them to the package through a travel agency, or book them yourself: in that case we’ll coordinate arrival times.

What if there’s no wind for days?

We move around and go looking for wind, or do extra activities, decided on the spot and paid separately.

Do I need to bring my own gear?

If you have it, bring it, remembering to declare your sports bag to the airline. Otherwise you can rent it from us for €350 for the whole week.

How do I pay?

You secure your place with a deposit by bank transfer and pay the balance one month before departure. You’ll find the bank details above, in the “How to book” section.
